I had the privilege of speaking at Wedding MBA on 10/2/13. My flower arranging presentation was called “Everything is coming up Roses” and I shared 11 ways to use ROSE PETALS and create super simple but stunning table decor.
I chose to use a black and white table scheme for the linens and china and a bright yellow rose for a BIG IMPACT. At the time I considered using white rose petals, pale pink rose petals and hot pink rose petals. If you think about it, EVERY color goes with black, right? I can’t think of a color that wouldn’t go with black, at least when it comes to flower colors used in flower arrangements.
Since it was October, I thought the yellow was a way to give a nod to the FALL season without looking like Halloween.
When you are creating flower arrangements, is there a color scheme that comes up over and over again for you?
I find I do have my favorite colors, but since most of my flower arranging is for other people, I tend to incorporate what they want rather than what I would want. Don’t get me wrong, if I think you need some help or some suggestions for your flower arrangements I am happy to offer help and suggestions.
Here are some photos from the presentation/demonstration.
